Bio

I am always on the lookout for the next new, innovative idea in the college textbook world. I am open to new opportunities in the industry, particularly in the areas of textbook management and systems. I am excited about where the textbook and college bookstore industries are headed. We have new opportunities to improve the customer experience in our bookstores. Acting on those opportunities is going to be the most important factor in keeping our bookstores relevant and profitable. I work to make a difference for students at Indiana University of Pennsylvania by offering them options and the best possible prices for their textbook and course materials needs. I love working with our staff and student workers to be innovative and proactive in how we approach customer service, textbook sourcing, pricing, and rentals. I believe in giving my employees the tools to do their jobs exceptionally rather than "doing" for them. We communicate, we teach each other, we question avidly, and we learn from our mistakes. I am passionate about improving the efficiency and profitability of our independent bookstores. I have built relationships in the industry with other store professionals and with systems and resource providers that I value highly. I am a problem solver at heart, and I enjoy and excel at constantly finding new solutions to all of the "same old" problems as well as the new issues we face. I also happily spend time helping newcomers to the industry or the textbook area learn and grow in their positions. I believe that well managed college and university bookstores are an essential part of campus life, and they should act as the first and best resource for educational materials for the campus community.
