My professional experience over the last ten years is all about higher education retail. I spent 8 years with the Missouri State University Bookstore learning all things textbook, and how the college retail market operates. I now spend my days at the Ozarks Technical Community College Bookstore. Over the past two years I have taken my MSU experience and applied it to the OTC's Bookstore.
My present goal is to create a store that the students, faculty and staff can be proud to call their own. Long term goals, keep growing our bookstore business and maybe one day serve on the board of trustees
Outside of higher education retail,
I'm married to a wonderful woman that is starting to understand the busy cycles of college stores, and that her husband is a workaholic. To combat the stress I have regarding my Monday - Friday job I have a hobby in baking bread. I have found that it is a stress reducer for me and I'm pretty good at it. I hope to start selling my artisan bread creations at a local farmers market in 2013 and take this hobby to a new level, because my family can't eat all the bread I create.
