Bio

Revenue generation, cost containment, and service delivery are the three primary areas of my responsibility as the Associate Vice President for Business Services at the University of Pennsylvania.

With a background in retail buying/merchandising, my transition to a career in higher education began as the purchasing manager for the campus computer store. I was an active member on the advisory boards of several vendors interested supporting campus resellers, a Campus Computer Reseller Council (CCRA) Member; and one of the developers of the CCRA's original VIP Program. I retain oversight of Penn's campus computer store, which continues to be independently managed by our university. I also have oversight of my institution's relationship with Barnes & Noble for the management of the Penn Bookstore. I also oversee the business development functions for our trademark licensing, including efforts to ensure compliance with our manufacturer code of conduct for our licensees.

As the AVP for Business Services at Penn, I have a leadership role in the decision-making processes, financial planning and performance metrics involving over 20 departments, programs and initiatives. I provide leadership for senior staff members in diverse functional areas including information technology; communications and external relations; retail business operations and service centers. Marketing strategies, business development and promotional campaigns also important functions falling under my responsibilities.

In addition to being an active member on several advisory committees and a presenter at several trade association conferences, I served on the board of NACAS (National Association of Auxiliary Services) from 2014-2017, and was Chair of the Inclusive Excellence Committee.
